Canva Magic Layers

Turn a flat image into something you can actually work with

Most images give you no flexibility

You cannot change the colour.
You cannot adjust the wording.
You cannot move elements around.

You are stuck with what you are given.

Magic Layers changes that.

What Magic Layers Does

Magic Layers allows you to isolate the individual elements inside an image.

So instead of one fixed design, you can:

• Change colours to match your brand
• Edit or replace text
• Remove parts you do not need
• Keep and customise the parts you do need
• Move elements to fit different formats
• Copy elements into new designs

It turns a static image into something you can actually use.

Examples From My Own Work

I have already used this many times, and the difference is immediate.

Above you can see an image where I took an AI generated image that was completely the wrong colour for my brand.

Instead of discarding it, I was able to:
• Isolate the elements
• Change the colours
• Make it consistent with everything else I create

In addition, there were multiple call outs that I did not need.

I was able to:
• Remove the ones that were unnecessary
• Keep the ones that mattered
• Adjust the wording to suit my message

I also received an image that was too wide for an Instagram reel.

Instead of starting again, I was able to:
• Separate the elements
• Move them closer together
• Reduce the text size
• Make it fit perfectly

In the second example the original image did not fit my Instagram Reel. I was able to separate all the elements, move and size them to fit.

Why This Matters

You no longer have to:

• Start again when something is not quite right
• Accept designs that do not match your brand
• Work around layouts that do not fit your content

You can adapt what you already have
